Can we use our own vendors?

Neighborhood Nuptials has partnered with some of the best and sought after wedding professionals in the city. These small business owners have reserved a spot on their calendar for these pop-up dates and are familiar with the timeline, process, COVID regulations etc. associated with Neighborhood Nuptials. To get the most out of the experience and to work with the best of the best, we are not permitting any outside vendors (services or products) onsite.


Can we choose a different date than you have available?

We totally understand the importance of a specific date. However, due to venue and vendor availability, our Neighborhood Nuptials dates are set in stone. We do hope to add additional date options as interest continues to grow! Email us for more info.


Can we bring more than 10 in-person guests?

Depending on regulations at the time of your nuptials, you may be able to bring additional guests, up to 30 max. Please confirm your guest count with us prior to booking as you may need to purchase additional time to ensure proper set up, safety, and sanitation is achieved for any expansion of guests.
All that said, Neighborhood Nuptials is truly meant to be an intimate experience for couples to get married with their closest family members and/or friends in person. We include live streaming services for up to 500 virtual guests to witness and celebrate with you from the safety and comfort of their own homes.


Can we bring our own food and beverage?

Due to COVID rules and regulations, as well as general liability for service, you are not allowed to bring in any outside food & beverage. Any thoughtful additions that include food & beverage will be handled through our licensed and insured vendor partners.

What does our Neighborhood Nuptial package include?

The NN package includes what we have found essential to creating a special moment and capturing your nuptials: one (1) hour rental of a unique neighborhood venue, ceremony chairs for guests and backdrop, one (1) hour of professional photography coverage for formal portraits and candids of your ceremony, one (1) hour of live DJ services to provide audio for your ceremony and spin your song selections for your processional and recessional down the aisle, a private live stream of your event to up to 500 friends/family, and your online planning tool with one (1) planning meeting to go over your nuptials, logistics, and timeline.

What does our planner do for us?

You will receive the guidance of a dedicated Naturally Yours Events planner to ensure you make the most of your nuptial experience. Included in the NN package is one planning meeting to discuss the details of your nuptials, recommendations for thoughtful additions for you to book and manage, an extensive wedding timeline, discussion of your floor plan & logistics, vendor coordination with NN partners leading up to your event and while onsite, and day-of onsite coordination of your NN wedding including direction of ceremony, execution of timeline and other wedding activities, as well as management of personal items (i.e., ceremony unity items, guestbook, favors, etc).

What does our venue provide?

Each beautiful neighborhood venue will provide the ambiance for your personalized celebration, seating for your guests, restrooms, and different areas within the space for your couple and family portraits.

What is included with our assigned photographer?

The NN package includes one (1) hour use of a professional local photographer. During this time, they will capture your guests arrival and candids of your personalized ceremony from processional to the much anticipated kiss! We also encourage a small list of formal family photos as well as couple's portraits. You will receive an online album with your edited photos and full-resolution downloads. Extended photography time at an offsite location is offered as a thoughtful addition, please inquire at the time of booking to secure.

What does our DJ provide?

Your Scratch Academy skillfully trained DJ from Cage & Aquarium will set the mood of your celebration. Whether your style is acoustic covers of pop songs, a moody jazz vibe, or the traditional wedding march- your DJ will know your preferences in advance and curate an hour of music specifically for your nuptials. Additionally, you can select your processional and recessional song to say "I Do" to the tune of your choice or pick from the DJ’s suggested song lists. Seeing as they handle all things audio, they will also be supplying a microphone for your vows or toasts or any area you want amplified during your nuptials.

What is the live streaming service?

We know that so many of your friends and family members don't want to miss this moment, however the pandemic makes it impossible for everyone to be physically present. Our partnering live streaming service, Be There, makes it so that those near and dear to us don't miss a thing! You will be issued a personalized, private link to share with up to 500 guests and easy-to-follow directions for setting up their viewing experience. Then they can kick back and relax with a glass of bubbly safe at home while you say your vows.

How do thoughtful additions work?

Select what thoughtful additions you are interested in on our style questionnaire. We will provide a quote for each item and, depending on the service/product, you will either be connected with the vendor directly or you'll work with your planner to arrange it. We make it as easy as possible- you can include these thoughtful additions at the time of signing your contract all in one payment, or work with your planner during your meeting around 4-6 weeks out from your nuptials.
We do recommend all thoughtful additions be confirmed within the 3-4 weeks before your day to ensure availability and product can be ordered at the quoted price. You can view all our thoughtful addition offerings by scrolling down on our home page.

If we do not need an included service, can we get a credit to apply to something else or a reduced package rate?

Our packages are created with the core group of vendors assigned to each date. They have reserved this date and Neighborhood Nuptials will pay them regardless of if you want their services or not. Therefore we cannot reduce our package price if you choose to not utilize all the package offers.

What if we have a shelter in place and the event cannot happen?

If Chicago slides back into a shut down, or there are added mitigations, and we are not permitted to have your gathering of any size, NN will work to reschedule the pop-up date with the venue/vendors once the shut down is lifted. Couples will be informed immediately upon a new date being confirmed. Your previous payments will then be applied to the new celebration date. We will move forward with nuptials, even if the count is reduced to 10 guests.

What are you doing at each venue to keep couples, guests, and vendors safe?

We’re ready to celebrate with you and take your health and safety very seriously. We follow all state and city guidelines with respect to proper PPE, social distancing protocols, cleaning/sanitizing standards, number of permitted guests, health screening and communication, and contact tracing. We have a pledge provided to all parties outlining these guidelines which all vendors, couples and guests are required to adhere to.
